How to Apply for Your JNTUH Original Degree Certificate (Convocation): A Step-by-Step Guide

Apply for JNTUH (OD) Original Degree Certificate

Before applying for your JNTUH Original Degree certificate, please follow these instructions:

  1. Register online with your details, including your Provisional Certificate (PC) number and contact address.
  2. Pay a Rs. 1000 fee online using a credit/debit card, UPI, or internet banking.
  3. If you've already applied for your degree certificate before the convocation, no need to apply again.
  4. If you paid Rs. 600 for your Original Degree (OD) Certificate fee at your college, pay an extra Rs. 400.
  5. If you already paid Rs. 1000 at your college, no need to pay again. Register for the convocation to get your OD Certificate.
  6. Create an account with your personal information and remember your password.
  7. Use your course hall-ticket number as your username.
  8. Your Original Degree Certificate will be sent to your provided address.
  9. Deadline: Apply for your degree certificate by November 30, 2023.

To apply for your JNTUH Original Degree certificate, follow this step-by-step guide:

  1. Visit the JNTUH Convocation Portal at https://studentservices.jntuh.ac.in/XIIconvocation/login.html.
  2. Click on "Register Me" if you are applying for the first time.
  3. You will be directed to the "Student Registration" page. Enter your details, including your hall ticket number and the captcha code.
  4. After clicking "Submit," you will be asked to provide your name, gender, mobile number, and email. Ensure you provide an accurate mobile number to receive status updates.
  5. Once you click "Submit," your login details and password will be sent to your mobile number and email.
  6. Go back to the initial page and click on "Login" again. Use your hall ticket and password to sign in.
  7. You will now see the "Students Login Dashboard - XII Convocation."
  8. In the menu bar, click on "Student Services," and you will see a dropdown option for "Original Degree." Click on it.
  9. Your details will be displayed. If you've paid the fee at your college, you won't need to pay again. Simply enter your provisional certificate number in the column provided and click "Verify".
  10. Below, select the "Delivery Mode" as "Post" and enter your address details accurately.
  11. Click "Submit Application."
  12. The final step is to upload your provisional certificate image (200 to 300 KB) and a passport photo (20 to 30 KB).
  13. Choose "Already paid at college" if you've paid there. If not, proceed to pay the fee.
  14. Download the acknowledgement copy, which will show a dashboard with your tracking status. If dispatched, it will be indicated there. If not, don't worry.
  15. You will receive a tracking ID to your mobile number through India Post, which will allow you to track the delivery of your original degree certificate.

The difference between Pre-Convocation, In-Convocation (XII), and Post-Convocation modes of applying for Original Degree (OD) in Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) is as follows:

Pre-Convocation:

  • For receiving the Original Degree Certificate within a short time (expected in 10 days)
  • The fee for Pre-Convocation OD is Rs. 3500/-. (If you have already paid 1000/- in your college, then you need to pay the remaining amount (2500/-). )

In-Convocation: (Last date 30-11-2023)

  • Students who have completed all their graduation (example 2023 passed out) can apply for OD in In-Convocation mode.
  • The OD will be dispatched within a month.
  • The fee for In-Convocation OD is Rs. 1000/- (If you have already paid, you don't need to pay again. You can directly apply, as we have already mentioned how to do so in this article).

Post-Convocation:

  • Students who have completed all their graduation but have not applied the convocation and pre convocation before can apply for OD in Post-Convocation mode. 
  • The OD will be dispatched within 15 days of receiving the application. 
  • You need to pay late fee.
